CITROËN BERLINGO NAMED ‘MPV OF THE YEAR’ IN COMPANY CAR TODAY CCT100 AWARDS 2021

Citroën’s ever-popular Berlingo has started 2021 on a high, adding the Company Car Today CCT100 ‘MPV of the Year’ honour to its growing list of accolades. A firm favourite amongst fleet user-choosers with active families, Citroën Berlingo impressed the jury with its impressive blend of practical features, interior space, comfort and style.

Success in the Company Car Today CCT100 Awards continues an impressive run of form for Citroën Berlingo – having won other prestigious honours in 2020, such as ‘MPV of the Year’ at the What Car? Car of the Year Awards (for a second consecutive year) and ‘Best Large Car’ in Autocar’s inaugural Britain’s Best Cars Awards.

The CCT100 Awards see the Company Car Today editorial team highlight the top 100 cars most suited to UK fleet requirements. The 20 category winners are then chosen from the overall CCT100 listing using 13 criteria covering everything from running costs to practicality, and reliability to car park appeal – along with input from of the Company Car Today judging panel that has decades of combined fleet industry experience. Four other Citroën models – C1, C3 Aircross, Grand C4 SpaceTourer and SpaceTourer – also appear in this year’s CCT100 chart.

Paul Barker, Editor of Company Car Today, said: “The Citroën Berlingo is the epitome of practicality, offering a huge amount of space and versatility, as well as good running costs. The sliding doors, seven-seat option and all-round practicality give it everything required to be a CCT100 award-winning MPV.”

With the option of five or seven-seats, and an impressive boot volume of 1,050-litres up to the parcel shelf on five-seat versions, Citroën Berlingo always offers class-leading interior space. The ultra-practical model is also fitted with up to 28 ingenious storage spaces adding up to a total of 186-litres – including the optional Modutop® roof storage system with ambient lighting and a panoramic sunroof.

Eurig Druce, Citroën UK’s Managing Director, commented: “We are incredibly proud to see the Citroën Berlingo named ‘MPV of the Year’ by Company Car Today. This has been a particularly strong year for Berlingo and it is always great to see a positive reaction from fleet experts who are able to assess the practicality and success of the model among a key target audience.”

MRR OTR prices for Citroën Berlingo start from just £21,860.
