CITROËN APPOINTS NEW MEDIA RELATIONS EXECUTIVE IN UK PRESS TEAM: NOT FOR PUBLICATION

Citroën is pleased to announce the appointment of Emma Gaffney to the position of Media Relations Executive within the UK Press Office, reporting to Katie Read. Emma replaces Michael Arnold, who transfers to the Events team as National Events Coordinator for Citroën and DS Automobiles.

Citroën has announced the appointment of Emma Gaffney as Media Relations Executive within the UK Press Office. Emma takes up her new role with immediate effect. She replaces Michael Arnold, who also begins his new role as National Events Coordinator with immediate effect. There will be a handover period of up to two weeks to ensure a smooth transfer of responsibilities.

Emma has worked as Business Apprentice within the National Events team here in the UK for three years. She takes over from Michael who has held the influential role of Media Relations Executive within the Citroën UK PR team since 2015. In turn, Michael has taken up the National Events Coordinator role after Jonathan Heeks (who some of you may know) moved to a position within the Marketing Division.

Emma commented: “I am thrilled to be joining the Citroën Press Office at this exciting time, just before the Paris Motor Show and the arrival of New C5 Aircross SUV. I have really enjoyed my time so far in the Communications Division, and I’m looking forward to working with Katie, John and the UK media in the months and years ahead.”

Michael has been a valued member of the Press Office team since 2012. He takes a raft of experience with him as he begins his new role in Events. His colleagues wish him well!

Katie Read, Citroën UK’s Public Relations Manager, said: “It is a great pleasure to welcome Emma to the team. It’s an extremely important time for the business, with our new product offensive in full swing and New C5 Aircross just around the corner. Having seen Emma’s work first hand over the past few years, I’m confident she will be a huge success in her new role.”

John Handcock, Head of Communications at Citroën UK, commented: “We would also like to thank Michael for all his great work, he has been a huge asset to the team during his time in the Press Office and we wish him the very best of luck in his new role as National Events Coordinator.”
