DS AUTOMOBILES IS THE ONLY MULTI-ENERGY PREMIUM BRAND TO MEET EUROPE’S AMBITIOUS CO2 TARGETS

DS Automobiles achieved an average fleet CO2 emissions of just 79.9g/km – making it the only luxury carmaker to meet the European Commission target of 95g/km CO2 Emissions figures confirmed by JATO show DS is the only multi-energy premium brand to avoid the €95 fine for each g/km exceeded for every vehicle registered* DS has committed to a strategy of electrification, with its latest DS 3 CROSSBACK E-TENSE its first 100% electric vehicle with a 200-mile range under WLTP testing

DS Automobiles has achieved average fleet CO2 emissions of just 79.9g/km in the first half of 2020, the lowest out of all luxury carmakers, making it the only multi-energy premium brand to meet the current 95g/km CO2 emissions target set by the European Commission. The average fleet emissions of DS were well below rivals, with no other premium manufacturer achieving a fleet rating of below 110g/km CO2. †

The result comes from DS’s ongoing commitment to electrification. Since 2019, the DS 3 CROSSBACK and DS 7 CROSSBACK have been available with electrified versions, while the DS 9 saloon will be available with a range of plug-in powertrains. The DS 3 CROSSBACK E-TENSE is DS’s first 100% electric vehicle and comes with a 200-mile range under WLTP testing. As a clear sign of DS’s desire to further reduce CO2 emissions, by 2025, DS will only offer electrified powertrains.

From 2021, the EU fleet-wide average emissions target for new cars has been set at 95g/km CO2 by the European Commission. This year, the same emissions target already applies for each manufacturer’s 95% least emitting cars, making DS Automobiles the only premium manufacturer to escape the €95 penalty for each g/km target exceeded per vehicle registered*.

DS has also relied on experience gained in Formula E with the DS TECHEETAH team, which won the Formula E Teams’ Championship in the 2018-2019 season, to build its class-leading electric and hybrid powertrains.
