The PEUGEOT 5008 has been named ‘Used Car of the Year’ at the annual What Car? Used Car of the Year Awards. The model also scooped the category award for best Used Large SUV.

Scott Stenning, General Manager of PEUGEOT Arbury Bromsgrove has won the ‘Dealer Principal/General Manager of the Year’ award at the AM Awards 2021. Since taking the role in 2020, Scott has represented the PEUGEOT brand and dedicated time to both the National Retailer Council and Sales & Marketing sub-committee.

Adventurer Brendon Prince has set a new world record in his attempt to circumnavigate mainland Britain using a stand up paddleboard (SUP), supported by PEUGEOT. Completing a 2,400-mile paddleboard around Britain, Brendon has also helped raise awareness for water safety, men’s health and the need to protect Britain’s coast lines.

PEUGEOT confirms its petrol and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) vehicles built from January 2000 onwards are fully compatible with E10 petrol. This compatibility applies to both passenger cars* and vans. E10 is now becoming the default grade of petrol at filling stations, with the UK Government stating the introduction of E10 petrol at UK forecourts could cut transport CO2 emissions by 750,000 tonnes a year – the equivalent of taking 350,000 cars off the road, or all the cars in North Yorkshire.”

PEUGEOT has revised pricing across its award-winning Expert range, including the fully electric e-Expert, with the aim of giving businesses and fleet customers the most transparent pricing possible. List prices have been reduced by £1,000 across the entire model range, whilst other range changes include the addition of a new automatic gearbox option.

Following a successful beginning to the electrified product rollout starting in January 2020, PEUGEOT has seen its low emission vehicle (LEV) car sales double in 2021 vs YTD 2020, according to the latest registration figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). PEUGEOT’s passenger car LEV sales mix has also significantly increased, jumping from 10.3% in YTD 2020 to 16.3% in 2021 as customer demand for low emission vehicles grows.

PEUGEOT has introduced new updates for its compact city car, the PEUGEOT 108. The 2021 updates add a new look with alternative paint colours and interior details, with the 108 now exclusively offered as a five-door variant going forward. Prices for the updated 108 start from £13,320.

PEUGEOT has secured a sale with green energy provider Octopus Energy that will see the company take on 23 of the brand’s full electric e-Expert vans. Operating across its London-based fleet, the PEUGEOT e-Expert vans will be used to help Octopus Energy Services - its engineering arm - install electric vehicle (EV) charging points across the capital.

Electrification is at the heart of the PEUGEOT’s strategy, and the new PEUGEOT 308 will offer two rechargeable hybrid engines on its saloon and SW estate versions from launch. With these new additions, PEUGEOT’s vehicle range will be 70% electric by the end of 2021, including passenger cars and commercial vehicles. By 2023, 85% of the brand's models will be electrified and 100% by 2025.

PEUGEOT has revealed details of the new 9X8, its latest-generation Hypercar which is set to make its competitive debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2022. Powered by hybrid technology and featuring all-wheel drive, the new 9X8 Hypercar showcases PEUGEOT’s Neo-Performance strategy which combines technology and sportiness in both PEUGEOT’s road and race cars. PEUGEOT has continued its strong performance in 2021, increasing its UK car market share year on year to 3.8%, according to the latest registration figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). PEUGEOT has also improved its passenger car Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) market share versus 2020, jumping from 4.5% in 2020 to 5.9% in the first six months of the year.
