01 – CITROËN: STRONG GROWTH IN THE LIGHT COMMERCIAL VEHICLE MARKET

Citroën has always played a pioneering role in the light commercial vehicle (LCV) market with iconic designs such as the Type H and 2CV van, and the segment is a key challenge for the Brand.

With a renewed and harmonious passenger car and LCV range, Citroën posted its highest sales volumes in Europe in seven years in 2018 and also grew its market share. The Brand gained ground in the LCV market with a 3.5% increase in registrations, outstripping the market’s 3.0% rise, for a 9.5% share of the market. As a result, Citroën moved up a notch in the ranking of the best-selling brands in Europe, joining the top five. This momentum is being driven by the success of recent launches in Europe, including:

- Jumpy/SpaceTourer: over 140,000 sales since launch in 2016, of which over 60,000 in 2018

- New Berlingo Van/Berlingo: launched in September 2018 and already 50,000 sales. Berlingo LCV leads its segment in Europe.

Citroën also confirmed its success in the French LCV market, with annual growth exceeding that of the market, at +5.1% vs. +4.7%. Citroën increased its market share by 0.1 point on 2017 to 15.8%.
