In a context of economic and environmental concerns, consumers are increasingly sensitive and attentive to product offerings from the circular economy. A real alternative in a market with issues of parts shortage and rising prices, used automotive parts are on average 70% cheaper than new parts. They meet the expectations of customers who are looking for solutions to service their vehicles at a lower cost in order to ensure their mobility.

"As everywhere in Europe, average age of vehicles on the road is increasing and they need to be maintained to last. Used parts are essential when the parts are no longer manufactured 10 years after the production of a vehicle or when the prices and delivery times of the new parts have become incompatible with the expectations of customers," explains Laurent Barria, Director of Marketing and Communication for Citroën.

The Citroën used parts offer includes more than 200,000 references in inventory on seven product families: body parts, lighting, electric parts and electronics, interior parts, engine and transmission or suspension. It is powered by B-Parts, the European leader in the online distribution of used automotive parts, in which Stellantis invested in 2020. All the parts in the catalog are original and come from end-of-life vehicles (ELV) dismantled by a network of about 100 certified professional partners across Europe and sold in 155 countries through the B-Parts e-commerce platform.

Available through Citroën website since the beginning of September in France but also in several other European countries (Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, Austria, Finland, Denmark, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden and in Switzerland), the Citroën used parts offer enjoys a 12-month warranty, binding the brand with its customers on the quality of the products.

On the website, the search for parts is carried out by indicating the vehicle plate number or the original parts reference. A selection by car model is also possible and allows to display all the used parts available on all the product families in the catalog. The order is delivered between 1 to 4 days. The customer can thus undertake the change of a part, initially unplanned because not essential, to improve the general condition of his vehicle (e.g.: ceiling lamp, sunscreen, glass-top...). An alert system allows the customer to be notified when a missing product is back in inventory. Prices are displayed transparently, and include VAT and delivery costs, as well as availability and delivery dates. A customer service is available from Monday to Friday by e-mail, telephone or chat, to assist the drivers into their ordering process. Returns can be made within 14 days.

These recycled parts can also be ordered by the Citroën repair network through a dedicated access inside Service Box, to perform the associated maintenance services at the customer's request.

The access to a dedicated Citroën used parts offer confirms the brand’s commitment to its eco-responsible approach and its willingness to respond to its customers’ economic and environmental concerns.

A commitment highlighted at corporate level through the creation of the Circular Economy business unit - outlined in the Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan - aiming to offer sustainable and affordable product and service solutions, without compromising quality.
