CITROËN MY AMI TONIC: ACID-INSPIRED COLOUR, ENERGISING NEW VERSION OF AMI

The new Citroën My Ami Tonic comes in an energising colour combination of khaki and lemon yellow, giving it a vitamin and stimulating personality.   Ami continues to emphasise customisation with this stylish, vivacious new version. Positioned at the top of the range, My Ami Tonic adds colourful decorative elements to many of the accessories available on other versions, to create a very expressive vehicle.   My Ami Tonic expands the Ami range, which has already attracted over 23,500 customers. My Ami Tonic features exciting, energising graphic elements to express another side of Ami’s character. Citroën’s quadricycle has always had a strong capacity for customization and accessorization, representing an extraordinary playground for each customer to create an Ami to express who they are.

 

“The Citroën Design team wanted to bring a touch of freshness and vitality to this new version. The combination of blocks of lemon yellow and khaki, combined with clever technical features (directional ‘open’ arrows) gives My Ami Tonic a playful edge, making it a toy for grown-ups aged 14 to 77”, says Mathieu Wandon, Citroën Head of Graphic Design.

Its body style is unique and cheerful, but with a militant edge.

 

 

MY AMI TONIC, A DISTINCT AND REINVIGORATING PERSONALITY

My Ami Tonic is a version full of energy that boosts the Ami range and inspires action through its colours and equipment. It comes with customization features available on other versions, such as the bumpers and roof bars. Its new styling details combine khaki and bright yellow in a fresh, vibrant version that encourages passengers to approach every trip with vitality.

 

Styling features that reinforce Ami’s energetic character and dynamic driving experience in electric mode.

On the outside, My Ami Tonic looks at us in an all-new way, highlighted with new headlamp bezels designed to resemble sunglasses. This characterful version incorporates features that enhance other versions, such as wheel trims, the black front panel under the windscreen, and front and rear bumpers for added robustness, along with wheel arches and roof bars.

 

The My Ami Tonic interior is equipped as standard with functional accessories such as a smartphone clamp, three storage bins, door nets, a central separation net, a bag hook, floor mats and the Dat@mi dongle used to connect a smartphone with Ami. This set of equipment makes the day-to-day so much easier.

 

Graphic elements in distinctive colours: khaki and yellow

The colours of My Ami Tonic were chosen carefully. The combination of khaki and yellow brings energy to Ami.

 

The khaki shade appears on the exterior trim and lower door stickers, and in the interior on the storage bins built into the dashboard and edging around the door nets. The colour of relaxation and tranquillity, khaki promotes feelings of optimism, harmony and calm. This shade of green also echoes the wealth of nature, underlining Ami’s ecological commitment. As an electric vehicle, Ami respects the environment, while its silence on the road inspires peacefulness.

 

Often considered a warm and invigorating colour, yellow brings vivid accents to the door stickers developed specifically for My Ami Tonic, the two recesses on the front panel, the straps used to open and close the doors from the passenger compartment, and the bag hook on the passenger side. Yellow also arouses curiosity. Citroën used it to draw attention to the directional arrows placed on the body to guide passengers in using Ami’s features. For example, the arrows on the rear quarter-panels show how to open the windows, and those on the wheel arches offer a playful way of checking that the wheels are aligned properly. This technical, tactical signage is a reference to the detailing style used in the field of aeronautics.

 

In the same spirit, three white directional arrows, positioned in a downward sequence inside the door panel, show how to move the handle to open the door. And a sticker on the window flaps specifies the GPS coordinates for the longitude of the Stellantis Group’s technical centre, the ADN (Automotive Design Network) which is located in Vélizy. In addition, two small aesthetic details emphasise that My Ami Tonic is an all-electric mobility object: an adhesive “+” on the driver’s door handle and a “-” on the passenger’s door handle, symbolising the poles of a battery.

 

My Ami Tonic will be marketed in France, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Greece, Morocco and Turkey.

 

In France, this version is now available either as a cash purchase starting at €8,990 including tax or as a long-term lease starting at €34.99 a month including tax (example of a 48-month lease with a deposit of €3,757 including tax). Financing terms on long-term leases, such as monthly payments and the initial lease payment, can be adapted to the buyer’s budget.

 

On the occasion of My Ami Tonic’s launch, the versions of My Ami Khaki and My Ami Vibe are bowing out.
