Luton – The Vauxhall Corsa-e is set to capitalise on the changing demands of 21st century supermini customers, combining zero emissions technology with affordable running costs and the latest connected features.

Figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) show that fully electric vehicles are the only vehicle segment growing in the UK. As Covid-19 lockdown restrictions begin to ease, electric vehicle registrations rose by 21.5% in May 2020 compared to the previous year, and now account for 4.3% of the UK new car market**.

The Vauxhall Corsa-e combines the latest electric vehicle technology and convenience features. The 50kWh battery provides a zero-emissions range of up to 209 miles from a single charge and supports up to 100kW rapid charging technology – allowing for an 80 per cent charge in as little as 30 minutes.

To ensure drivers are always ready to go, the new Corsa-e comes with a free home charging wall box, and a six-month subscription to the Polar public charging network, the UK’s largest public charging network with more than 7,000 charging points nationwide.

Through the MyVauxhall app, Corsa-e owners can check the charge status of their vehicle via their smartphone, pre-select charging times for their vehicle and even turn on the air conditioning remotely, to cool the cabin ahead of a trip, so drivers can stay connected to their car wherever they are.

With a reassuring eight-year/100,000-mile battery warranty matched by eight years of Roadside Assistance cover from Vauxhall, owners have the ultimate peace of mind.
