  • In the absence of Tramnitz, the leader in the rankings, an opportunity for Smal and Bearman hot on his heels, with Maya Weug among the rookies seeking confirmation and continuity

Another starting grid featuring many records will line up on the straight of the Misano World Circuit – Marco Simoncelli for the second round of the Italian F.4 Championship Powered by Abarth. The event on the Emilia-Romagna circuit, scheduled for Thursday, June 3rd to Sunday, June 6th, will feature the season's first day of joint trials, to precede a blazing weekend with Kirill Smal (Prema Powerteam) and Oliver Bearman (Van Amersfoort Racing), expected to take advantage of the absence of championship leader Tim Tramnitz so they can overtake him in the overall rankings. Over 30 Tatuus chassis powered by the 1400-cc, 160-hp Abarth 414TF T-Jet engine are due to take to the track at Misano. The spotlight will also be on Sebastian Montoya (Prema Powerteam), who will attempt to regain his position in the rankings, as will Leonardo Fornaroli (Iron Lynx), with the same points score as the Colombian and very much on the rise in the preparatory series, a point of reference on the international motorsport scene.

Among the rookies, confirmation is expected from Maya Weug, the first female driver from the Ferrari Driver Academy and the leader in the rookie standings after round 1. The young Dutch driver showed great consistency at Paul Ricard, unlike those hot on her heels, who interspersed high-powered performances with great difficulty. As well as the Iron Dames driver, the greatest expectations among the rookies in the second event of the season include Jonas Ried (BWT Muecke Motorsport), Kacper Sztuka (AS Motorsport), Leonardo Bizzotto (BVM Racing) and Conrad Laursen (Prema Powerteam).

A long weekend for the young drivers in the Italian F.4 Championship Powered by Abarth, who will take to the track in the morning of Thursday, June 3rd for the season’s first joint trials. As well as the big names in the championship, it will also feature several drivers expected to become major players in the coming months. The 4 hours of trials will offer the drivers the opportunity to become even more familiar with the Misano circuit, where many have already completed trial sessions in recent weeks, in very interesting times. The practice sessions are scheduled for Thursday at 6:10 pm and Friday at 12:40 pm. The qualifiers will kick off on Friday at 6:05 pm, with the two races for round 2 of the season scheduled on Saturday at 12:50 pm and 7:35 pm. The final green light of the weekend on the 4,226-meter Emilia-Romagna circuit will be on Sunday at 12:25 pm. All the races will be broadcast live on YouTube, on the channel dedicated to the Italian F.4 Championship Powered by Abarth.
