The ADAC Opel e-Rally Cup starts in the French Alps

• The world's first electric rally brand cup makes a guest appearance at the Rally Mont-Blanc
• Seven rounds in four nations with the German Rally Championship as the basis

Rüsselsheim/Munich. The calendar of the 2022 ADAC Opel e-Rally Cup is complete. After six of the seven rounds in four nations had already been announced before the turn of the year, the date for the French guest appearance of the world's first electric rally one-make cup has now also been set. With the Rally Mont-Blanc Morzine from September 8 to 10, 2022, another season highlight awaits the participants in their 136-hp Opel Corsa-e Rally.

The asphalt chase at the foot of the highest mountain in the Alps at 4807.73 meters poses a special challenge for the young teams and their nippy electric vehicles. The rounds of the French Rally Championship are among the most demanding in Europe. The Rally Mont-Blanc Morzine also offers a special landscape. The special stages around the well-known winter sports resort of Morzine in the department of Haute-Savoie, not far from the French-Swiss border, are characterized not least by their unique topography.

"The large differences in altitude of the Rally Mont-Blanc Morzine also pose a challenge in technical terms," explains Opel Motorsport Director Jörg Schrott. "In extensive test drives, we found the Alpine suitability of the Corsa-e Rally confirmed. This great event further enhances the already highly attractive schedule of the ADAC Opel e-Rally Cup 2022."

Registrations for the ADAC Opel e-Rally Cup 2022 are still possible online at adac.de/motorsport. Those who register by March 15 will benefit from particularly favorable conditions.
