The success of Lancia Ypsilon in 2022

With nearly 41,000 registered vehicles (40,991), Lancia Ypsilon dominated the B segment in Italy for the fourth consecutive year. Leader in its category, as well as the second best seller in the Italian market, with a market share of 15.3%, the best market share ever in its history, up 1.2 percentage points versus 2021.
Lancia Brand reached a market share of 3.1%, up 0.1 percentage points versus 2021.

The history of Lancia Ypsilon

Lancia Ypsilon started as an everyday vehicle featured with Italian style and with a sense of appreciation for beauty and things well done, mixed with craftsmanship, typical of the “made in Italy”.
As an elegant and fashionable city car, Lancia Ypsilon was immediately defined as a small flagship vehicle, thanks to some content previously available on higher-end vehicles, especially in the interiors. It was actually the first compact car to bring style and elegance into the small city car segment, as it was the first vehicle to be conceived as a “design car” in its category.
The car has a clear and unique positioning: it is a fashionable vehicle with style always remaining the first reason to buy it.
Lancia Ypsilon remained succesfully up-to-date and relevant over time, as it is able to answer and even anticipate customers’ needs. It constantly renewed, without ever losing its identity, adding “nuances to its personality” with countless special series and constant product innovation.
And with the recently launched MY 2023, Lancia Ypsilon has become even more efficient, connected, and stylish.

“I am very pleased with results achieved by the Lancia Brand and the work done by the entire team lead by Raffaele Russo.” added Luca Napolitano, Lancia brand CEO. “These achievements moves us to do even better. The Renaissance of the brand started and we are now working to make of Lancia a desirable, respected and credible Brand in the European premium segment.”.
