ORDERBOOK OPENS FOR NEW DS 5

The orderbook for the new DS 5 is now open, a month after the car's début appearance at the Geneva Motor Show. DS 5 will be in the showrooms from June 2015.

Following its world première appearance at the Geneva Motor Show in March, the new DS 5 is now on sale. It will be in the DS showrooms* from June, but the orderbook is open already. Prices for the new DS 5 in France start at €29,550. This buys a DS 5 with the BlueHDi 120 S&S engine coupled through a six-speed manual gearbox, a power unit that sets new standards in its category, with fuel consumption of 3.8 litres per 100 km, CO2 emissions of 100 g/km and peak torque of 300 Nm.

Performance and efficiency: choice of six engines

From initial release of the DS 5, customers have a choice of two petrol engines, three diesel engines (from 120 to 200 bhp, with peak torque from 240 to 400 Nm), and a 4x4 hybrid powerplant (with CO2 emissions of 90 g/km and fuel consumption of 3.5 litres per 100 km, combined cycle). In terms of sheer performance, DS 5 leads its field in the premium category.

Refinement and attention to detail: unique upholstery

The new DS 5 is one of very few cars to offer a choice of leather upholsteries: grain leather, full-grain nappa leather, and semi-aniline leather, one of the finest leathers in the world, rarely found in the automotive industry. Then DS uses a unique leatherwork technique, with watchstrap stitching. The new DS 5 takes on a new custom interior with upholstery in two-tone black and sapphire nappa leather with watchstrap stitching.

Elegance: eight body colours

Customers have a choice of eight body colours, including Pearl White, Shark Grey, Perla Nera Black, Whisper, and the new Ink Blue colour appearing for the first time on DS 5, a subtle colour that further asserts the car's identity and elegance.

With its avant-garde style, refinement and attention to detail, with its cockpit-styled driver's position, and with its latest-generation technologies such as the DS LED Vision headlamps, touchscreen and high-performance engines, the DS 5 embodies the ambition and values of the DS brand, marking a return to the premium sector for the French automotive industry.” Philippe Narbeburu, director of DS France
