Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares on the new Alfa Romeo Tonale at the 2022 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix

Today, in occasion of the Imola stage of the Formula One World Championship, CEO of Stellantis, Carlos Tavares, arrived at the circuit driving the new Alfa Romeo Tonale, the first Alfa Romeo electrified compact SUV, marking the real Metamorphosis for the brand, while remaining faithful to its DNA of noble Italian sportsmanship since 1910. Today, in occasion of the Imola stage of the Formula One World Championship, CEO of Stellantis, Carlos Tavares, arrived at the circuit driving the new Alfa Romeo Tonale, the first Alfa Romeo electrified compact SUV, marking the real Metamorphosis for the brand, while remaining faithful to its DNA of noble Italian sportsmanship since 1910.

In addition to personally testing the new Alfa Romeo model, the top manager enthusiastically supported the Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN, with Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu driving the C42 single-seater as they compete in the most exciting season of recent years.

In fact, Formula One is the laboratory of innovation par excellence, pioneering in hybrid strategy, at the forefront of big data management, artificial intelligence and the development of latest generation software. These are strategic assets for Alfa Romeo, which makes technological excellence a priority.

 

Produced at the Pomigliano plant, and already available for order in the 130 hp Hybrid “Edizione Speciale” version, the Alfa Romeo Tonale will make its market debut in June. The unmistakably Italian design is extraordinarily faithful to the concept from which it originates. World-class technology and connectivity are at the highest level with a completely new infotainment system. In addition, Alfa Romeo has conceived unique and exclusive technical solutions to enhance its DNA and offer customers the unique driving experience typical of the Brand, in which meticulous attention to detail is matched by the continuous search for the highest quality.
