ALFA ROMEO TRIO OF DEBUTS AT GOODWOOD FESTIVAL OF SPEED 2022

• Alfa Romeo Tonale makes its dynamic UK debut at 2022 Festival of Speed.
• Alfa Romeo F1 Team will take part in the event with driver Guanyu Zhou who will star in the iconic “Hillclimb” aboard Tonale.
• The new Giulia ESTREMA and Stelvio ESTREMA, the first global special series which embodies the highest achievements in technical refinement and driving dynamics make its UK debuts at the 2022 Edition.

This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed will see the new Alfa Romeo Tonale make its dynamic UK debut as it tackles the famous Hillclimb. On Saturday, Tonale will complete the 1.16-mile Hillclimb with Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN driver, Guanyu Zhou, at the wheel. Alfa Romeo will also showcase the new Giulia and Stelvio ESTREMA, the Brand’s first global special series.

The Tonale is the brand’s first electrified C-SUV and the model which symbolizes the brand’s metamorphosis into a new electrified era. The electric system was conceived to be at the service of the brand and its DNA, offering an authentic hybrid driving experience being true to the driving dynamics and agility of an authentic Alfa Romeo thanks to specific technical solutions. The Tonale is the most technological Alfa Romeo ever. It is the first vehicle to ever be equipped with an NFT digital certificate, top-level connectivity and an innovative infotainment system, designed to offer “Over The Air” updates and integration with Amazon Alexa.

As the standard-bearer of the Brand and its values, taking the wheel of the Tonale will be Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN driver Guanyu Zhou, the first Chinese driver in the F1 History.  Following his great start to his first season, including a point on his debut race and his highest points finish to date in Canada last weekend, Zhou will be meeting F1 fans, gathering the support of all the fans attending the Goodwood Festival, one of the most iconic motorsport events in the world.

The ESTREMA special series will also make its UK debuts at the festival with visitors able to get a first look at the cars on the Alfa Romeo stand. Giulia and Stelvio “ESTREMA” represent the first global special series which embodies the highest achievements in technical refinement and driving dynamics. Faithful to its roots, they have been conceived for sporty driving, positioning at the top of its range. They bring the soul of the Quadrifoglio in an everyday vehicle.
