PEUGEOT is on track to deliver bold targets for electrification:

● 2023: every model in the PEUGEOT line-up will be ELECTRIFIED
● 2025: PEUGEOT will have a 100% ELECTRIC OFFER
● 2030: 100% OF PEUGEOTs SOLD IN EUROPE WILL BE 100% ELECTRIC

Announcing the PEUGEOT E-LION PROJECT. PEUGEOT’s approach to electrification is a well-researched response to the needs of a changing world.

E-LION PROJECT is the guiding philosophy to meet these needs in the next generation of PEUGEOT’s.
E-LION PROJECT is not only about electrification, it is a holistic project, a 360° approach based on 5 E’s

1. Ecosystem: our ecosystem of products and services, based on the STLA enablers,
2. Experience: the end-to-end customer experience, from charging to connectivity,
3. Electric: all of this is based on 100% battery electric - and our commitment to having a 100% BEV line-up by 2025,
4. Efficiency: our obsession with maximising performance, minimising kilowatt consumption (12.5 kWh/100km for E-208),
5. Environment: all with the end goal of sustainability and our commitment to achieve Carbon Net Zero by 2038.

With a new official message exalting its feline and attractive attitude, its revolutionary interior design and its promise of unrivalled driving sensations, the PEUGEOT INCEPTION CONCEPT is the heralds a new era and embodies the Brand's vision for future electric vehicles.  The first PEUGEOT Design Manifesto led by Matthias Hossann, the PEUGEOT INCEPTION CONCEPT embodies the major change of the Brand.

 

EMOTION.

The PEUGEOT INCEPTION CONCEPT expresses this optimistic vision with conviction, ready to meet the challenges of the future. With its new generation i-Cockpit® and its Hypersquare control system, it revolutionises driving enjoyment by offering a new, intuitive way of operating the car. Its innovative Skyspace panoramic glass concept provides new emotions and sensations. Its passenger compartment has a new interior space and the innovative architecture is complemented by materials that play with their coloured reflections to shun black while redefining the idea of durability through new techniques.

The PEUGEOT INCEPTION CONCEPT opens up new perspectives with a daring architecture, derived from the generation of "BEV-by-design" platforms, and comes in a generous size, further highlighting the excellence of its innovations.

This manifesto will inspire the Brand's future products, down to the most compact models of the range, from 2025.

The PEUGEOT INCEPTION Concept will show the quantum leap the Brand is soon to make in focusing on a dedicated 100% electric product offer.

EXCELLENCE: Record efficiency for the new PEUGEOT E-208, E-308 and E-308 SW,
EMOTION: PEUGEOT e-Streetzone, a new 100% electric scooter

2023 will be a year of strong acceleration in the electrification of the PEUGEOT range: from the first half of 2023, all PEUGEOT models will be available with one or more electrified powertrains.

This will give PEUGEOT the widest "e-choice" in Europe, with many new models and technologies. From electric bicycles to vans, e-scooters and passenger cars, PEUGEOT will meet all electric mobility needs, and will be taking a further step towards its goal of making 0 emission, 100% electric sales in Europe by 2030.

The introduction of new hybrid powertrains from the beginning of 2023, initially on the PEUGEOT 3008 and PEUGEOT 5008, will broaden the technological offer, adding to new 100% battery electric solutions on the E-208 and E-308, hydrogen fuel cell and two and four-wheel drive plug-in hybrids.

The Red Dot Award 2022, the highest distinction in product Design, was awarded to the new 308, the first model to bear the new PEUGEOT emblem, in the Car and Motorcycle category. The 50 members of the international Red Dot Award jury were impressed by its allure, its distinctive style, the quality of its design and its innovative i-Cockpit. Each year, these design experts reward "Design Excellence" in 51 product categories.  Customers on all continents rely on the "Red Dot" as a guarantee of quality, smart design and outstanding ergonomics. The PEUGEOT 308 is the 7th model of the Brand to be awarded this prestigious label, created in 1955 in Germany, and which has since become the worldwide label of the best designs.

On March 8th at midnight in Auckland (March 7th at noon Paris time), the new PEUGEOT 308 was declared "Women's World Car of the Year 2022", after counting the votes of the 56 members of the WWCOTY (Women Worldwide Car of The Year) jury - exclusively female, representing 40 countries on all 5 continents. The PEUGEOT 308 won ahead of the 65 new models launched in 2021 and entered in the competition.

For the second year running, PEUGEOT is the brand in the automotive sector that has the best image with the French public according to a study conducted by the YouGov organisation. With a score of 30.9, up 0.7 points on the previous year, the lion brand is ahead of all other brands.

PEUGEOT France is renewing the PEUGEOT DIRECT system from 26 January 2021 due to the promising results of this operation which took place during the confinement from November 2021 to 20 December 2020. The customer's journey is entirely digitised: a Peugeot expert accompanies his customer by videoconference, from the discovery of the vehicle to the signing of the order.

Portuguese consumers started 2021 by once again selecting the PEUGEOT brand as the "No. 1 Brand, Consumer Choice". This is the 8th consecutive year that the brand has received this recognition, surpassing 10 of its competitors in the generalist brand segment. This distinction comes as PEUGEOT Portugal closes 2020 with 21,494 units sold and a market share of 12.4%. It is the only car brand in the Portuguese market to have increased its market share for 11 consecutive years. In 2020, three models awarded "Car of the Year" were all simultaneously available in the Portuguese range: the new PEUGEOT 208 and e-208 (chosen in 2020), the PEUGEOT 3008 (chosen in 2017) and the PEUGEOT 308 (chosen in 2014).

At the AUTOMOBILES AWARDS digital ceremony held on 7 December 2020 in Paris, the new PEUGEOT 3008 received the "Car of the Year 2020" prize awarded by the public, the PEUGEOT e-Expert received the jury's special prize and the PEUGEOT brand was named "Brand of the Year" by the managing directors of the thirty-nine participating brands.

The PEUGEOT 5008 has been chosen by the Ministry of the Interior as a reference vehicle for the French police and gendarmerie. The specifications defined the willingness to equip the police forces with a vehicle of the highest level of performance and made in France. At the end of the selection process, the services of the Ministry of the Interior placed an order for 1,263 PEUGEOT 5008s manufactured in Sochaux and Rennes. These vehicles will be converted at the PSA Group site in Poissy.

The PEUGEOT brand received the special YouGovFrance award, which rewards the most impactful advertising among the brands represented by the 10 personalities 2020 on November 17 in Paris. Thierry Lonziano, Marketing and Communication Director of the PEUGEOT brand received the award.

The Trophies of the magazine l'Automobile et l'Entreprise took place in Paris on October 20, 2020 and rewarded two PEUGEOT vehicles: the PEUGEOT 208 in the "electrified sedan" category and the PEUGEOT 2008 in the "thermal SUV" category. The PEUGEOT brand won first prize in the "Coup de Coeur constructeur" category. Hugues de Laage, Director of PSA Corporate Sales France received all the awards.
